The Yellow Table is a small, French-style café in East Nashville (opening in early 2025). It’s a place for conversation and connection, where life can slow down just a little bit as you enjoy a latte and a Nutella crêpe for breakfast, or a leek and goat cheese galette and a seasonal salad for lunch. Picture cozy French vibes, simple, delicious food, friendly service, a big communal table, and a sunny outdoor patio. We can’t wait to serve the Nashville community!
The Yellow Table is a neighborhood café, serving breakfast and lunch. We specialize in authentic French sweet crêpes and savory buckwheat galettes, as well as seasonal salads, soups, and baked goods. We serve freshly-roasted coffee from Valor, a small roaster in Alpharetta, GA, and a selection of teas from Rishi and High Garden.
How it started
The vision for this café was inspired by my childhood yellow table, where my family ate every meal. I grew up in Nashville, and much of my time was spent around the yellow table. This table was always full - in addition to our family of five, there were always extra people: friends, neighbors, or extended family members. My mom’s philosophy was “there’s always room for one more!” This heirloom table was passed on to me as a college graduation present, and has followed me over the past 2 decades from Pittsburgh to Nashville to NYC to Brooklyn, and back to Nashville. I continue to gather friends and family around my yellow table at home, and it’s been my dream to extend this hospitality to a wider community.
Also, I should mention that I’m a total francophile. I spent several years living in France - I taught English in Paris, studied in Aix-en-Provence, and went to culinary school in Burgundy - and I absolutely love French food and culture. After a college semester abroad in Paris, I became obsessed with crêpes, the paper-thin pancakes served from to-go windows all over the city. I fell hard for the ubiquitous Nutella variety (bien sûr!), but I especially loved the crispy buckwheat savory galettes. I came home with a vision to open an authentic French crêperie in Nashville. It took over 20 years for my dream to come true, but here we are!
But more than just serving excellent food and coffee, I really want to make people feel truly welcome and cared for at The Yellow Table Café. Hospitality is at the heart of my vision, and I hope you come for a coffee and a crêpe, and stay for the conversation and connection.
